Sandy and Jud’s daughter Anna got in on some of the action last week. Her twin bro Troy ran part of the 800m with his mom also, but he moved so fast we couldn’t get a picture of him.
One of the classic CrossFit workouts is named “Tabata Something Else”. It consists of 4 simple exercises: pull up, push up, sit up, and squat. They are each done on a tabata interval. To refresh your memory, a tabata interval consists of 20 seconds of work followed by 10 seconds of rest. This interval is repeated 8 times or for a total of 4 minutes, whichever comes first. The good news is that we’re not doing “Tabata Something Else” today.
The other news is that we’re doing “Tabata Like Nothing Else.”

I would say something about the first workout released for the 2011 CrossFit Games, but I’m still trying to block it from my memory! Currently Missy is in a two way tie for 38th place in our region and Justin is in a seven way tie for 50th. The website also shows our team in 47th place, but the website has been right about 3% of the time so far. We’ll see how it all shakes out when the CrossFit Games site is working properly. Side note: the top 60 individuals from each region and the top 30 teams move on to the regional competition for a chance to qualify for the world games.
That was tough. I needed a round of Tabata breathing after the burpees.
