For those of you who haven’t met Ryan and Mara, they are two of our newest members going through the Catalyst Program right now. Next week they will be joining us in the regular classes and tearing it up!
If you need help with your kipping, ask Shondra. She kips HARD on her pull ups. The harder you kip, the less you have to pull. I would type more, but my hand ripped open on the pull ups yesterday and it is very painful. That’s what happens when you have a death grip on the bars.

The Breakfast Club this morning consisted of Jason, Shondra, and I drinking coffee and looking at the mountains…no working out. I think that the fake “Hungry Hundred” may have scared some people off! Hope to see somebody at 11:30 and 4:30
Woops. Had a non sleeping and mucho crying baby last night until the wee hours. Thought he was trying to kill us (kind of like you guys, but different). Rats. Hank will be there to run a lot and do some stuff today.
I am bummed I couldn’t come this morning, as I love 100m dashes and stuff, but my back is not cooperating with me. I think I will probably have to take a few days off and hopefully be good to go on Monday.
Life has gotten in the way of our normal schedule this week. We plan to be there tomorrow and back to more of a routine next week!
someone once told me “You can make excuses, or you can get results, it’s your choice.” Just can’t remember who it was that said that…
Alright Mr. 200 jumping pull-ups, you have shamed me into coming tomorrow, but I don’t think I should lift anything, hang from anything, run, or jump for a few days. I am thinking that pretty much rules out most stuff, except for poorly attempting pistols, air squats, and lunges. I am sure I can make up something to exhaust myself with that. It is Friday, so maybe I could lunge to the liquor store and back.
So does this mean that you are out for Geriatric Gymnastics tonight Johnny?
Yes, I am planning to just come along and hang out. I think it was attempting back handsprings last time that started this weird back issue. I guess I should just learn to do back flips, but that will have to wait until next time.
Lunges to the store?! Sounds like fun but I hear that it is best when done in your pj’s!
Back flips are easier. You don’t have to worry about getting your arms over your head. I think a little Oskar Blues therapy could help you out.
I’m in. Oskar blues tonight. Lunges till failure in my PJs tomorrow morning.
If anyone else wants to goto the Geriatric Gymnastics class, it is at Airborne in Longmont from 7:15 to 8:15, followed by a trip to Oskar Blues. They have a high bar over a foam pit and many other fun things to play on.
OB has a high bar over a foam pit? is the pit filled with beer? that’s awesome.
and p.s. johnny: shame worked on me too. i’ll be there at 4:30 today. i hope i’m not still there working on this WOD when you get there tomorrow morning. just in case, please bring me coffee. and a wheelchair.
and YAY RYAN AND MARA!
i meant to shame no one into anything – but i would like it if someone would shame me into going to oskar blues tonight…anyone, ANYONE?
Shame…shame….SHAME!!!
oh my good Lord. that was hard.
