Well…not at my house, but I think that the clean is my absolute favorite olympic lift. Just don’t make me jerk it afterward and I’m fine. We will have a skills session and work through hang power cleans, power cleans, and full squat cleans with some video feedback. Then we will get into the WOD and throw some weight around. Fully extended hips and a powerful shrug are the orders of the day. And don’t pull early with your arms!!!! I know the picture is of Missy performing a snatch and not a clean, but it is a great example of getting full extension of the hips and a powerful shrug before the arms bend.

I did a fun little number last night, 50 95lb burpee clean and jerks. Start the movement by doing a burpee to the barbell then finish with a clean and jerk.
We should definitely throw that one into the rotation, it absolutely destroyed me.
By the way, today was supposed to be a rest day, but I have to come in for this one!
