So I really missed everyone yesterday. I woke up Wednesday and had a bit of a stiff neck, and then Thursday morning had about 15 degrees of movement. I frantically called around to chiropractors until I found someone who could get me in. A few cracks and pops later and now I am about 50% better.
Topic of discussion: What is your opinion on chiropractors and their usefulness? Any success / failure stories with a chiro?

Over a year ago, after doing a Tactical Strength Challenge (http://paulsgym.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/dsc04500.jpg), I woke up and couldn’t walk. After literally CRYING on the floor – Mary took me to the Chiro…a few cracks, pops, and a handful of alarming noises later – I could walk and was in fairly decent shape.
Not sure I buy into the “come in for monthly maintenance” approach, but for “i have a huge issue, can you fix it” i have seen great results.
That pretty much mirrors my experience as well. I’m just so excited to be half normal again. I can now drive and look both ways before entering traffic. I don’t like the maintenance thing, I love the fix me now thing.
I have had good luck with Fit Chiropractic in Broomfield. He is an athlete as well and really helped me over come my lower back pain. I have been going for over 5 years. I spend the extra money and get orthopedic massages everytime I get adjusted (I go about 12 times for massage and 6 times for adjustments a year). If you haven’t had an ortho massage, you are missing out. They don’t feel good at the time (I basically spend an hour doing deep breathing exercises and finding my happy place), but once you get done you definitely have more mobility and less joint pain. I definitely think if don’t have good range of motion or have joint, back, neck pain issues, its worth a try.
Thanks for a great week! Maybe some day I will be able to keep up with Missy. After my wife beat me by a burpee yesterday, at least I found out today that I can almost jump over here. I will take my victories where I can.
