This workout is in honor of Derek Harner who endured nine months of loud music, crashing weights, bouncing up and down, coaches yelling, all before being born. Derck’s Mom Mara showed up and never quit all throughout her pregnancy. She never once wanted to scale anything especially during the CrossFit Games Open workouts where she performed all of the workouts as prescribed! Mara you are truly an inspiration to us all. We are looking forward to seeing how you do at the 2012 CrossFit games!
Some of us may never get the “pleasure” of working out while pregnant so today’s WOD was designed to help you understand what it might feel like to workout with some “extra weight”. Mara would just hate for anyone to miss out on the experience! Have fun and Congrats to Mara and the Harner family!

Your body will always do more than you think it can as long as you don’t say “I can’t”. It’s amazing what the female body can really do.
I owe a huge “Thank you” to Jason and Justin for never telling me to not try something and for finding alternatives when the belly got in the way.
Sometime in about March Jason said it would be five or six more weeks until I would be getting my own Mommy WODs….I’m still waiting!
