Long’s Peak early in the morning…almost makes it worth it to be up this early!
Check out the Breakfast Club getting after it on the “Death by Other Stuff” WOD. Strong work by Lee, Mary and Tomi!
So the “official” CrossFit version of Helen does not call for any rest time. The object (like usual) is to complete all the work in as little time as possible. The only problem with this is that sometimes (most times) intensity is lost in the later rounds when you are really really tired. In busted up Helen we are adding rest time so that each round can be completed at a higher intensity. Each round can then be completed faster than if you were pacing. More work in less time equals a higher power output and better results! Treat each round as a “max effort”
WOD
3 RFT (3 min rest between rounds)
Run 400m
21 Kettlebell swing (55/35)
12 Pull up
The Breakfast Club got after it today! It was surprising to see Missy up and going at that hour. She set the standard for the day with a 10:25 Rx. That is without the rest time…total WOD time was 16:25. Strong work! Who’s gonna step up?
oh MAN. i must have mixed up MY time with MISSY’S time. silly silly me. can’t wait for the rHURTsday tomorrow. bring on the 100′s.
p.s. someday i won’t have to modify EVERYTHING. i long to have the designation “Rx” after my name. ah, one day…
It won’t be long Mary. Part of it is just convincing yourself that you can.
yep. the mental thing. that’s a trip for me…
Mary…tomorrow…RX, you CAN do it!
