Obstacle course day makes me skip for joy! Brian Baldwin even finds a way to make the warmups fun!

Today reinforced in me the fact that what you put into your body affects your performance. I must say that although I didn’t necessarily feel bad or sick, I just could not keep going during the WOD. If you’ve been at this CrossFit thing for a while and aren’t quite where you want to be performance-wise, it’s probably time to take a look at the ol’ food intake. It’s pretty simple: good food = improved performance, bad food = what happened to me today, which was not pretty. Starting on International Hangover Day (January 1) after we’ve all had that monstrous day after binge drinking breakfast burrito, we will be having a nutrition lock down aptly named “Project Suck It Up”. There are no prizes  and really no rules. All this entails is us sucking it up and eating right for a month. All we’re asking for Project Suck It Up is 1) no sugar 2) no grains 3) no booze. Having a leg amputated is hard, fighting cancer is hard, losing a loved one is hard. Not eating a drive through burger IS NOT HARD! So suck it up, and as my dad would say: “Stop being a panty waist.”

There will also be another push up challenge beginning on the same date. So let’s hear some ideas for a new push up challenge other than starting with 10 and increasing another 10 each day. 100 per day? 150 per day? Let’s hear it!
