As of last night, there were over 15,000 people worldwide registered to compete in this year’s CrossFit Games Open. When I looked at results for today, there was a competitor with # 17,932. That’s a lot of people. Most of them will be doing the same workout today, or at least some time during the week. Many of them will probably do the workout several times during the week in order to get the best score possible. I know I will be doing just that. We will still have regular classes and regular programming for those classes, but if you are registered to compete (why aren’t you registered?) you will be able to complete the Games WOD pretty much any time Jason or I (Justin) are available. After week 1, we will probably have a little more of a concrete schedule with the Games WOD and maybe even make a trek to a neighboring gym or two to get a little more of a competition atmosphere.
One of the coolest things (if not the coolest in my opinion) is that when we submit your scores, you will be able to instantly see how you stack up against the rest of the 15,000 + competitors. I know that can be a little bit scary, but I’m a realist and don’t like for things to be sugar coated. Sugar is gross. It’s not Paleo. Just go to The CrossFit Games website to get a quick glance at the results or to register. The reward is in the experience, not in the outcome.

Yes, I’m disappointed in my performance. Yes, I cried. Yes, I’m doing it again on Friday (with different socks) and YES I’m gonna do better!!
Holy Cow, It was great to see everyone get after it this afternoon and see the results from earlier. I can’t wait for the next one. Good luck to those who are going to rinse and repeat, once was enough for me. (feeling cheesy like my mustache)
That was a deceptively difficult WOD! Everyone really got after it today. I do plan on doing it again on Saturday….come join me and everyone else that wants another go at it!
Hey guys. What’s the 40# after my score (and Tomi’s)?
Not sure. What weight did you ladies use on the g2o?
15 lb bar + 2 10 lb weights on each end = 55lbs?
